Hei. I'm Damjan.
A designer/researcher from the hen-shaped country of Slovenia, living in breathtaking Norway where I head design at Ardoq.
In my (recent) past lives I’ve been Design princpal at Cognite, Research director with Cognizant Nordics, Design research lead with Pexip and Cisco (Webex Devices), and Global Head of UX at Entain. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to build, scale and manage cross-location teams of designers and researchers, and work with some of the brightest people on the planet.
On my quest to change the world, I helped design products for tiny startups as well as the big guys like Cisco, Bwin, Bosch, CNN, Deutsche Bahn and Mayo Clinic.
As a researcher, I traveled the world and worked with people from Finland to Sudan and Bangalore to Portland. As an entrepreneur, I founded a VC-backed startup that helps small business tell their stories. I studied Media Communication in Slovenia and defended my Computer Science PhD in Finland and Slovenia.
As an active member of IxD, UX and Research communities, I’m regularly sharing my views in events. While spending a lot of “spare“ time with students as a lecturer.
